Do you have the same problem? Perhaps your parents had the same problem when they were your age long ago. Why does it seem that some parents are not so friendly in their children's eyes?

One of the biggest problems is when someone becomes a parent, he/she likes worrying about things. They worry about everything about you from the time you were born. They do a lot for you, though something would make you angry, because they care about you and worry about you. They worry about your choice of friends, food you eat, your work at school, how much sleep you get, etc. All these things are part of your life. They want you to grow up healthily and happily.

So how can you make things easier on yourself? It's easier than you think. Just make sure your parents know what you're doing. Get them to know your friends. Phone them if you stay somewhere else late so that your parents don't call every hospital in the phone book looking for you. Say sorry to them when you make mistakes. Take responsibility(责任)for what you have done. Talk about your ideas with them. They may talk about theirs with you.

Most of alltry to think about why your parents do this or do that. They are still practicing being parents and need help you can give them. Some day, when you become a parent, they may be able to help you know how to get on with your children.

1What is one of the biggest problems for parents according to the writer?

A.Worry about themselves. B.Worry about their children.

C.Hate their children. D.Be friendly with their children.

2Why do parents do all the things?

D.To want their children to do everything well in the future.

3What should we do if we go back home later than usual?

C.Say sorry to our parents. D.Make a telephone call to our parents.

4What is the best title of the passage?

26、   What do you do in a situation like this? You're eating dinner with friends at a nice restaurant. You're having a great time when a phone rings at the table next to you. A man takes out his phone and starts talking loudly about his problems he latest met. He talks for almost ten minutes! This happens all the time on buses or metros, in restaurants or supermarkets, nearly everywhere!

Many people find cell phones useful in their day-to-day lives. But all of us have ever sat next to someone talking too loudly on a cell phone. You may want to tell the loudmouth to end the conversation, but let the management take care of the noisy customers. You can only control your own behavior. Here are a few rules.

 Off means off!

Respect the rules of restaurants and other public places. If a sign says "turn off cell phones," don't use your phone.

Keep private conversations private!

Speak softly and for a short time. Try to move away from other people.

Lights off, phone off!

Never take calls in a theatre or at the movies.

Pay attention!

Talking on a cell phone while driving is dangerous. And watch where you're going when you're walking down the street and talking on the phone.

As more and more people use cell phones, things are only going to get worse. So, the next time you're getting ready to make a call, consider the people around you.
